Our Self-Rated Pickleball Program is a members only program. It is perfect for players who want to improve their skills at their own pace! Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, you can join in and play with others at your skill level. Simply self-assess your ability, choose the appropriate group, and enjoy casual yet competitive matches. It’s a fun and flexible way to play pickleball, meet new people, and challenge yourself while progressing at your own speed. No pressure, just plenty of pickleball fun!

About Cedarbrae Recreational Pickleball Program

HOW IT WORKS:

 Once community membership is confirmed, a waiver is signed, and the yearly pickleball access fee has been paid players will be invited to join the sign-up genius for their indicated level of play.

Players can then pre-register single for sessions using sign-up genius. Our program runs on a single session model. No seasonal or sessional commitments required. Pick and choose which ever sessions work for you at any given time.

Sessions are paid in-person at the time of playing by way of a punch of a punch card.

FEES:

Annual Pickleball Access Fee – $25 

10x Punchcard -$84.

Self-Ratings

Beginner

In general, a beginner in pickleball is still getting used to the physical demands of the game, learning the basics, and working on building consistency and accuracy in their shots.

 

Novice

In general, a novice pickleball player is at the stage where they have the fundamental skills in place and are becoming more comfortable with the game. Their focus tends to be on improving consistency, footwork, and shot selection as they progress toward the intermediate level.

Intermediate

In General, intermediate players are honing their game, becoming more comfortable with various aspects, and moving toward the advanced level. Their technical skills are more refined, their shot selection more deliberate, and they have a greater understanding of how to work as part of a team in doubles play. 

 

Advanced

An advanced pickleball player is someone who has mastered the fundamentals of the game and possesses a high level of technical skill, strategic awareness, and court presence. They are capable of executing a wide range of shots with precision, control, and power, and they consistently make smart decisions during play

FAQ'S

How can I play pickleball at Cedarbrae Community Center?

All players must be members of the Cedarbrae Community Association. Fill out a membership application and indicate your interest in playing pickleball. We will initiate the rest of th the process to get you playing!

 

Can I move up/down my self-rating?

Yes!  The beauty of self-rating is that you can move up and down ratings as you need.  Coming back from and injury and not able to play at 100%? Feel free to start slow at a lower level for a successful return to play.
